At St Joseph's we aim for all our children to become fluent, confident readers with a passion for reading and that process begins in our Foundation Unit.
Read Write Inc has been developed to provide a structured and systematic approach to teaching literacy. In nursery the children are introduced to the initial sounds in short daily sessions. Throughout the year the children progress with their learning to sound out and blend simple three letter words.
