Creativity in Prayer

Our children have been exploring creative ways to pray during their prayer time at St Joseph's. Across the school, classes have taken time to reflect, pray for others, and express their thoughts through a range of creative activities. We are so proud of the thoughtful and inspiring ways they have engaged in prayer and reflection. Take a look at what some of our classes have been up to....

Year 4
Year 4 tried a new prayer called Visio Davina, where they meditated and reflected on a piece of St Paul artwork. It was so lovely to hear how the children used their knowledge of St Paul from their other RE topics to explain this piece of art!

Year 5
Year 5 enjoyed some creative time outside making their own prayer chains. Each colour represented a different type of prayer, including prayers to say sorry, give thanks, pray for others, share their hopes for the world and care for our world. The children showed thoughtful reflection and creativity, and they had lots of fun creating their colourful chains of prayers!
