This year we were lucky enough to be invited to take part in a VEX Robot Challenge Day organised by Sheffield University AMRC. Over the past six weeks, the children have been building Clawbots from scratch after school. They have shown incredible effort, determination and perseverance throughout the process. The children then got to take their robots to a competition day, which was held at the AMRC Knowledge Centre at Sheffield. The children competed against other schools using their Clawbots to retrieve items and score points. They also completed an obstacle course and took part in a final race involving all of the participating schools. I am very proud to say that our St Joseph's boys and girls came in 2nd place overall! They represented the school brilliantly and all said what a fantastic day they had. A huge well done to everyone involved! 🏆🎉 Take a look at the photos below to see the clawbots in action...
