E Safety Day

30 June 2017 (by admin)

Please join us if you can for our E Safety Day on Tuesday 4th July! 2.30pm or 5pm

On Tuesday 4th July, Tim Pinto will be working with St Joseph’s school to develop their E-Safety knowledge and understanding. Tim has worked for the Yorkshire and Humber Grid for Learning and Rotherham Council, as a lead for e-safety. During this time, he supported 12 Local Authorities with their online safety strategy. He visits numerous schools delivering training and helps children and young people understand e-safety issues. It is going to be a very busy, exciting and informative day. The Friends of St Joseph’s have kindly paid for this day for us. Between 9.00am-2.30pm – Tim will be working with each class, carrying out workshops with pupils. At 2.30pm – There will be the first Parents Information Session. At 3.45pm-4.45pm - Staff Training At 5.00pm – There is a repeat of the first session - Parents Information Session 2 In an ever changing world, online safety is something we all need to be aware of and I’m sure there will be things for everyone to learn from Tim. The sessions will not only inform us of the current dangers faced by young people, but will help children and parents be more secure online. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children, but also for parents to learn more about how to help keep children safe online. PLEASE come along to one of the sessions if you can. Governors are welcome to attend one of the parent sessions and/or the staff training session.
