Year 3 children made these fantastic models of creatures from the Amazon rainforest.

 Fairtrade Fortnight - Spring Term (2) 2022

Year 3 have enjoyed learning about Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight. While eating Fairtrade chocolate, they have focused on a cocoa farm in the Cote d'Ivoire, and have learnt how the farmers work together to produce cocoa and are paid a fair price for this. They have compared our weather conditions to weather there, and have read and answered questions on information about Fairtrade in Reciprocal Reading. Finally, they have created their own interesting information page about Fairtrade. Well done Year 3!

Roman Battle - Autumn Term 2

Year 3 performed their own fabulous composition of a Roman battle! We hope you can hear the soldiers marching, joined by the horses galloping. There is a fierce battle, and then the soldiers and horses retreat. Well done, Year 3, for playing with control and as part of a whole class orchestra.

Acting fun in Science - Autumn Term 2

We had lots of fun in Science, acting out the story of Mary Anning's life. The children are loving this unit of work on Rocks and Fossils.

Making fossils - Autumn term 1

Year 3 are really interested in their Rocks topic, and have been finding out how fossils are formed. We made our own 'fossils' using playdough moulds and Plaster of Paris.
