On Monday your child will bring home the new school Reading and Spelling log book. These books need to be with your child in school EVERY day. if a replacement is needed there will be a charge of £2 as they are expensive to supply.
Please hear your child read EVERY evening even if only for 10 minutes - it makes a huge difference!
In the books please log any form of reading i.e. school books, home books or bug club with the title, page numbers read, your signature and any comment. Dojos/team points will be awarded for daily reading.
Each week your child will be given spellings to learn at home. These will be written in the log book with columns for your child to practise writing and to learn them. Again Dojos/team points will be given for practising as well as success.
To help your child, there are punctuation and grammar definitions, spelling lists and lots more at the back and on the inside covers.
