This week’s gospel message is: This poor widow has given more than all others
This week, the children have looked at and explored why Jesus said an poor lady gave more than the others – even though she gave less money.
We discussed how Jesus wants us to be generous and to share all that we have with others; how he asks us to give what we have to help others, as the widow does. We also discussed how Jesus shows us in this reading, that everyone has something that they can give, even if at first it does not look like they do. The children thought about their talents, and how they could use these to help others.
